Wash the potatoes and cook in boiling water for about 15 minutes. Drain potatoes, quench, peel and let cool. Cut the bacon slices in half lengthwise. Wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around each potato. Heat the oil in a large, coated pan and fry the potatoes for about 10 minutes over a mild heat. Sprinkle with pepper. Serve with fondue
