Peel, wash and chop the potatoes. Clean the soup vegetables. Put the leek aside, chop the rest
Peel and chop the onions. Clean, seed, wash and finely chop the chillies
Finely dice the bacon and fry it crisp in a large pan without fat. Take out. Steam onions in hot bacon fat until translucent. Fry potatoes and soup vegetables briefly. Deglaze with a good 3 l water. Add broth and chilli, bring to the boil. Simmer for about 20 minutes.
Puree the soup with a hand blender. Stir in leek and bacon. Cook for about 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Keep soup warm, e.g. on the grill. Grill the sausages on the hot grill for 8-10 minutes and arrange in the soup
