Pork chops with apple and cinnamon

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 200 g Long grain rice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 2 Apples
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 150 ml Cider
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Apple vinegar
  • 150 g frozen peas
  • 4 TABLESPOONS dried cranberries
  • 1/4 collar Thyme
  • 4 Pork chops (about 200 g each)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp ground cinnamon

Directions

    Prepare rice in boiling salted water according to package instructions. Wash and quarter apples, remove core. Cut quarter into cubes. Peel onions and cut into slices. Heat olive oil in a large pan.

    Brown the onions and apples in it. Deglaze with cider and vinegar.

    Add peas and cranberries, bring to the boil and simmer for about 5 minutes. Wash the thyme, shake dry, chop coarsely and add to the apples. Wash the meat and dab dry. Season with salt.

    Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the meat for about 8 minutes while turning.

    Drain the rice, let it drain well and also add it to the apples. Season to taste with salt, pepper and cinnamon. Arrange the meat on the rice and serve.
