Ingredients

Servings: 6
  • 50 g streaky smoked bacon
  • 100 g cooked ham
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 1 (approx. 200 g) Courgette
  • 1 (approx. 150 g) Carrot
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 200 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 can(s) (850 ml) peeled tomatoes
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Tomato paste
  • 100 ml Red wine
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, white pepper
  • 1/2 bunch Basil
  • 125 g Mozzarella cheese
  • 40 g Butter or margarine
  • 40 g Flour
  • 400 ml Milk
  • 100 g Whipped cream
  • 100 g grated provolone or parmesan cheese
  • 250 g Cannelloni

Directions

    Dice bacon and ham. Peel and chop the onions. Clean, wash and chop the vegetables. Fry bacon and minced meat in 1 tablespoon of oil. Add ham, half onions and vegetables. Steam for about 5 minutes. Drain tomatoes.

    Stir in half with the pulp. Deglaze with red wine. Season with salt and pepper. Wash and chop the basil. Dice mozzarella. Fold in both. Melt the fat. Sweat flour in it. Deglaze with milk and cream, bring to the boil. Season with salt and pepper. Melt half the cheese in it. Fry the rest of the onions in 1 tablespoon of oil. Sauté 1 tablespoon of tomato paste in it. Deglaze with the rest of the tomatoes and juice.

    Sweat flour in it. Deglaze with milk and cream, bring to the boil. Season with salt and pepper. Melt half the cheese in it. Fry the rest of the onions in 1 tablespoon of oil. Sauté 1 tablespoon of tomato paste in it. Deglaze with the rest of the tomatoes and juice. Crush the tomatoes a little bit. Boil up and season. Fill the cannelloni with the minced meat mixture. Put it into a greased ovenproof dish. Pour béchamel and tomato sauce evenly over the cannelloni. Sprinkle with remaining provolone or parmesan cheese. Bake the cannelloni in a preheated oven (electric range: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 30-35 minutes until golden brown

    Crush the tomatoes a little bit. Boil up and season. Fill the cannelloni with the minced meat mixture. Put it into a greased ovenproof dish. Pour béchamel and tomato sauce evenly over the cannelloni. Sprinkle with remaining provolone or parmesan cheese. Bake the cannelloni in a preheated oven (electric range: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 30-35 minutes until golden brown
