Pasta and tuna gratin with tomato sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 500 g Noodles (e.g. penne)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 can(s) (850 ml) peeled tomatoes
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 2 can(s) (210 ml each; separation weight: 150 g) Tuna fish natural
  • 100 g black, pitted olives
  • 1 package (125 g) Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 bunch Basil

Directions

    Cook the pasta in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes. Peel onions and garlic. Cut onions into rings, dice garlic finely. Chop the tomatoes in the tin. Fry onion and garlic in hot oil. Add tomatoes and braise for about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

    Drain the pasta, rinse with cold water and drain. Drain tuna and pluck with a fork. Add to the sauce with the olives. Put the pasta in an ovenproof dish and pour the sauce over it. Drain the mozzarella and cut into slices. Spread on the gratin and bake in a preheated oven (electric: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 20 minutes. Sprinkle with basil leaves just before serving
