Ingredients

  • 3 TABLESPOONS + some butter
  • 200 g Flour
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1⁄2 Tsp Baking soda
  • 1 TEASPOON ground cinnamon
  • 1⁄2 Tsp ground aniseed
  • 1⁄4 Tsp ground ginger
  • 1⁄4 Tsp ground cardamom
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Honey
  • 1 Egg yolk (Gr. M)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Aluminium foil

Directions

    Preheat oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/circulating air: 175 °C/gas: see manufacturer). Melt 3 tablespoons of butter at low heat. Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, spices, liquid butter, honey, 100 ml water and egg yolk with the whisks of the mixer for 2-3 minutes.

    Grease a box form (25 x 11 cm, approx. 1.5 l capacity) and distribute the dough evenly in it. Bake in a hot oven for 30-35 minutes. Cover with aluminium foil after about 20 minutes.

    Turn out the bread from the mould. Leave to cool on a cake rack for about 2 hours. Keeps for about 1 week wrapped in aluminium foil.
