Ingredients

  • 250 g red onions
  • 1 TEASPOON Oil
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Red wine vinegar
  • 100 ml Red wine
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 1/4 TEASPOON Mustard seeds
  • 1 knife tip ground peppercorns
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper

Directions

    Peel the onions and cut them into very thin slices. Heat the oil in a small pot. Sauté onions in it, then deglaze with vinegar and red wine. Add sugar, mustard seeds and crushed pepper. Let the confit simmer for about 10 minutes and season with salt and possibly some pepper
