Ingredients

  • 1 Bread roll (from the previous day)
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 800 g mixed minced meat
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Tomato paste
  • 150 ml Vegetable broth (instant)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sweet peppers
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 1/2 pack Strudel dough (filo or yufka dough)
  • 50 g Butter
  • 1 Egg yolk (size M)
  • 1 TABLESPOON Whipped cream
  • 1-2 Tomatoes
  • 125 g Mozzarella cheese
  • 7-10 Tbsp Basil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Soak rolls in cold water. Peel and finely dice the onions. Heat the oil in a pan, crumble the minced meat into it and fry vigorously while turning. Add onions and fry briefly. Squeeze out the breadcrumbs and crumble. Add tomato paste and bread roll.

    Deglaze with broth. Season with salt, pepper, paprika and sugar. Braise for about 8 minutes while turning. Let the strudel dough rest at room temperature for 10 minutes. Melt butter. Spread out slightly moistened tea towel on a work surface, roll out dough sheets, remove 5 (use remaining dough sheets for other purposes). Grease casserole dish. Layer the dough-sheets one by one in the baking dish, spreading butter on each layer (cut any excess dough-sheets smaller and put them in the dish). Whisk egg yolk and cream. Fill in the minced meat mixture. Brush the protruding edges of the dough carefully with egg yolk. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 25 minutes.

    Layer the dough-sheets one by one in the baking dish, spreading butter on each layer (cut any excess dough-sheets smaller and put them in the dish). Whisk egg yolk and cream. Fill in the minced meat mixture. Brush the protruding edges of the dough carefully with egg yolk. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 25 minutes. In the meantime, wash, clean and slice the tomatoes. Drain mozzarella and cut into slices. 10 minutes before the end of the baking time, cover the minced cake with tomatoes and mozzarella. Take out of the oven, mozzarella
