Meatballs with tomato sauce

Ingredients

  • 500 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 package Onion soup, "gourmet style"
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 4 Stem(s) Thyme
  • 2 stem(s) Parsley
  • 1 package (500 g) strained tomatoes
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cayenne pepper
  • 650 g Courgette
  • 1/8 l Vegetable broth (instant)

Directions

    Knead minced meat, egg and onion soup bag contents well. Form 8 meatballs from the minced mass and fry in hot oil for approx. 15 minutes. Turn several times in between. In the meantime clean and wash the zucchini and cut them lengthwise into thin slices.

    Steam in boiling broth for about 4 minutes. Drain and let drain well. Peel onion and garlic and chop finely. Wash the herbs, dab dry and chop. Remove the meatballs from the pan and keep warm.

    Sauté the onion and garlic in the frying fat. Add tomato puree and heat up. Add herbs. Season to taste with salt and cayenne pepper. Arrange the zucchini with the meatballs and the sauce. Flatbread tastes good with it.
