Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 can(s) (425 ml)
  • 7-10 Tbsp large white beans
  • 250 g Cutting beans
  • 250 g French beans
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • some stem(s) fresher or
  • 1/2 TEASPOON dried thyme
  • 1 Bread rolls from the previous day
  • 100 g Sheep or feta cheese
  • 500 g mixed
  • 7-10 Tbsp Minced meat
  • 1 Egg (Gr. M)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil (e.g. olive oil)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 g) clarified butter
  • 1 can(s) (425 ml) Tomatoes
  • 1 TEASPOON Vegetable broth (instant)

Directions

    Drain the white beans, rinse briefly if necessary and let them drain. Clean, wash and chop all fresh beans. Peel onions and garlic and chop finely. Wash the thyme and, except for something to garnish, pluck it from the stems

    Soak rolls in cold water. Cut sheep's cheese into 10 cubes. Squeeze out the bread roll. Knead minced meat, roll, egg and half onions well. Season minced meat mass with salt and pepper. Form 8 meatballs with moistened hands, pressing one cheese cube each into the middle.

    Heat the oil. Fry the rest of the onions, garlic, thyme leaves and all the fresh beans in it. Season with salt and pepper and add about 1/8 l water. Steam covered for 12-15 minutes.

    Heat clarified butter in a large frying pan. Fry the meatballs for 12-15 minutes. Turn from time to time

    Add the tomatoes with liquid to the steamed beans and chop coarsely. Stir in stock and bring to the boil. Add white beans and mix in. Braise everything else for another 5-10 minutes. Season vegetables to taste

    Arrange the meatballs on the bean vegetables. Crumble the rest of the feta cheese and sprinkle with the remaining thyme. Serve with boiled potatoes
