Ingredients

Servings: 2
  • 2 matie fillets (à approx. 60 g)
  • 1-2 Spring onions
  • 1 medium-sized apple
  • 1 (approx. 60 g) Gherkin
  • 3-4 Stem(s) Dill
  • 1 TEASPOON Lemon juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp pepper, some sugar, salt
  • 1 small onion
  • 500 g large potatoes (mainly firm when cooked)
  • 1 Egg (Gr. S)
  • 1-2 TEASPOONS Flour
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Apple and untreated lemon

Directions

    Wash the maties and pat them dry. Clean and wash spring onions and cut into fine rings. Wash and quarter the apple and remove the core. Finely dice the matie, cucumber and apple. Wash the dill and chop finely, except for something to garnish. Season everything with lemon juice, pepper and sugar. Leave to stand for about 30 minutes.

    Peel the onion. Peel and wash the potatoes. Roughly grate both. Mix with egg and flour, season

    Heat the oil in portions in a frying pan and bake about 8 Rösti until golden brown. Season to taste the Matjes Tatar. Serve with Rösti and garnish

    A delicious snack for guests can also be conjured up from this matie tatar in no time at all. Simply arrange on crackers or pumpernickel
