Clean and wash the broccoli and cut it into small florets. Bring the broth to the boil, add the broccoli and steam covered for about 5 minutes. In the meantime peel and dice the onion. Dice ham as well. Pour broccoli on a sieve and collect the broth. Cook macaroni in plenty of boiling salted water for 8-10 minutes.
In the meantime heat up the fat in a pot. Sauté onions and ham in it, deglaze with the hot broth and bring to the boil. Stir in sour cream and sauce thickener and bring to the boil again briefly. Add broccoli florets and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Drain the macaroni. Arrange with the sauce on deep plates and serve immediately
