Ingredients

Servings: 8
  • 8 small untreated apples (approx. 100 g each)
  • 360 g Sugar
  • 2 TABLESPOONS clear honey
  • 2 TEASPOONS red or green food colouring
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar and sugar pearls
  • 7-10 Tbsp Shashlik skewers

Directions

    Wash apples thoroughly and grate them dry, twist out the stems. Stick shish kebab skewers into the base of the stalk. Sprinkle a tray thickly with sugar. Put sugar, 100 ml water, honey and food colouring in a pot. Heat while stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Bring to the boil and simmer for 3-4 minutes.

    Remove the syrup from the heat, dip the dear apples one after the other into the syrup and turn in the syrup until the apples are completely covered. Drain and put the apples in the sugar. Leave to dry. Serve sprinkled with sugar or sugar pearls. Store dear apples in a cool and dry place for a maximum of 1 day
