Ingredients

  • 7-10 Tbsp :
  • 3 Leek sticks (leek; approx. 600 g)
  • 12 slices (approx. 300 g; cut by the butcher) streaky smoked bacon
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 2 Onions
  • 1 package (500 g) chunky tomatoes
  • 1/8 l Vegetable broth
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Tomato Ketchup
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Chilli powder
  • 1 Herb Butter Baguette
  • 7-10 Tbsp flat leaf parsley
  • 7-10 Tbsp wooden skewers

Directions

    Clean, wash and cut the leek into pieces of about 10 cm. Wrap the leek with bacon and fix it with wooden skewers. Heat oil in a pan. Brown the leek sticks all around and take them out. Peel and chop the onions and fry them in the frying fat. Add tomatoes, stock and ketchup.

    Add leek and cook for about 10 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and chili. In the meantime, bake the herb butter baguette in a preheated oven (electric range: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for 8-10 minutes. Arrange leek sticks with the sauce on plates. Garnish with parsley.
