Kewa Datshi (Fried potatoes with cheese)

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 4 large waxy potatoes
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 red chilli pepper
  • 1 small green peppers
  • 1 TABLESPOON Oil
  • 100 g Yak cheese (alternatively feta)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt

Directions

    Peel, wash and thinly slice the potatoes. Peel and chop the onions. Cut the chilli lengthwise, remove seeds, wash and cut into rings. Clean, wash and cut the peppers into fine strips.

    Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan. Fry the onion and chilli in it. Add the potatoes and fry briefly. Deglaze with approx. 200 ml water and cook for approx. 15-20 minutes.

    Meanwhile grate the cheese. Add the paprika to the potatoes. Season to taste with salt.
