Homemade French fries with curry sausage

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 kg mainly waxy potatoes
  • 1 kg Frying fat
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 small banana
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Sunflower oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Curry Powder
  • 1 TABLESPOON Tomato paste
  • 200 ml Tomato Ketchup
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 TABLESPOON Sugar
  • 4 Fried sausages (à approx. 100 g)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grill Barbecue Spices

Directions

    Peel the potatoes, wash them, cut them into sticks and grate them dry in a tea towel. Heat the frying fat and pre-fry the French fries in portions at 150 °C for approx. 3 minutes. For the sauce, peel onion and banana and cut into fine cubes.

    Heat 1 tablespoon of oil and briefly sauté the onion until transparent. After about 2 minutes add banana. Sprinkle with 1-2 tbsp curry. Stir in tomato paste and ketchup. Bring to the boil while stirring and simmer briefly. Season to taste with salt and sugar.

    Heat 1 tablespoon of oil and fry the sausages for 6-8 minutes while turning. Fry the French fries in portions at 180 °C. Mix 1 tablespoon salt and 1 tablespoon grill barbecue spices and season the chips. Cut the sausages into slices.

    Serve the sausages with sauce and chips. Dust with curry.
