Homemade currant liqueur

Ingredients

Servings: 2
  • 1/2 kg Currants (possibly deep-frozen)
  • 1 l Wheat grain (32% vol.)
  • 250 g Sugar

Directions

    Wash the berries, remove from the stalks and drain. Put the berries in a bowl and pour the corn over them. Cover the bowl with a tea towel. Leave to rest for one day.

    Bring 1/4 litre of water to the boil, stir in sugar and boil for a few minutes. Pour warm syrup over berries and the alcohol. Cover the bowl with a tea towel. Let it rest for another day.

    Pour the liquid through a sieve, squeezing the fruit vigorously. Pour the liqueur into bottles and close them. Shelf life: 4-5 months
