Ingredients

  • 250 g Butter
  • 300 g Sugar
  • 3 packages Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 350 g Flour
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Baking Powder
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • baking paper

Directions

    Melt the butter in a small pot at low heat. Then put it into a mixing bowl and let it cool down. Cream fat with the whisk of the hand mixer. Add 225 g sugar, 1 packet of vanillin sugar and salt and mix well. Mix flour and baking powder, add and knead to a smooth dough with the dough hooks of the hand mixer.

    Add milk and knead again with your hands to a smooth dough. Cover the dough and chill for about 30 minutes. Halve the dough and knead each half again. Form into two rolls (2.5 cm Ø). Brush with egg yolk and roll in 75 g sugar and 2 packets of vanillin sugar. Chill for another 30 minutes. Cut each roll into approx. 1.5 cm wide pieces. Place on 2-3 baking trays lined with baking paper. Bake the baking trays one after the other in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 8-10 minutes.

    Brush with egg yolk and roll in 75 g sugar and 2 packets of vanillin sugar. Chill for another 30 minutes. Cut each roll into approx. 1.5 cm wide pieces. Place on 2-3 baking trays lined with baking paper. Bake the baking trays one after the other in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 8-10 minutes. Remove from the oven, carefully place on a rack and let cool off
