Heart wafers with mandarin quark

Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 125 g soft butter
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 2 packages Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 Eggs (size M)
  • 150 g Flour
  • 50 g crushed almonds
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 1 can(s) (314 ml) Mandarin Oranges
  • 500 g Low-fat curd
  • 100 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Oil

Directions

    Cream butter, 75 g sugar, 1 sachet vanilla sugar and salt. Stir in the eggs one by one. Mix flour and almonds and stir in alternately with the milk. Preheat the waffle iron and spread with oil.

    Bake 5 waffles in a row, divide them in hearts. Drain the mandarin oranges and collect the juice. Mix quark, 50 g sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar and 4 tablespoons of mandarin juice. Whip the cream until stiff and fold into the quark cream.

    Spread the quark cream over 12 hearts and cover with the mandarin fillets. Place 1 heart on top of each. (1 heart remains). Dust with icing sugar.
