Gyros pan with chicken, zucchini, onions, peppers and tzatziki

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 100 g Cucumber
  • 250 g lactose-free yoghurt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar
  • 3 red onions
  • 1 Courgette
  • 1 small red and yellow peppers
  • 500 g Chicken filet
  • 7-10 Tbsp ground cumin
  • 7-10 Tbsp Oregano
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 3-4 Stem(s) Basil

Directions

    Peel and finely chop the garlic. Clean, wash, grate and squeeze the cucumber well. Mix yoghurt, half garlic and cucumber. Season with salt, pepper and sugar. Peel onions and cut into slices.

    Clean and wash the zucchini, cut them in half lengthwise and cut into pieces. Clean, wash and cut the peppers into strips. Wash chicken fillets, dab dry and cut into strips. Season meat with salt and gyros spice.

    Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large, coated frying pan. Fry the meat in portions for approx. 4 minutes on all sides, remove. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in the pan. Fry the bell pepper and onion for about 3 minutes, season with salt and pepper and remove.

    Heat 1 tablespoon of oil. Fry the zucchini pieces for about 3 minutes while turning. Add the remaining garlic to the pan about 1 minute before the end of the cooking time, season with salt and pepper. Add paprika, meat and onion and heat while turning.

    Season again with salt, pepper, cumin and oregano. Wash the basil, shake dry and pluck the leaves. Sprinkle over the gyro pan. Add the tzatziki. Flatbread tastes good with it.
