Gyros in tomato cream sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 Onions
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 TEASPOON Oregano
  • 1 TEASPOON Thyme
  • 1 TEASPOON Sweet peppers
  • 1/4 TEASPOON Cinnamon
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 4 Pork cutlet (approx. 150 g each)
  • 1 package (750 g) deep-frozen fries
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Tomato paste
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Aiwar (spicy-hot spice paste)
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth
  • 250 g Whipped cream
  • 1/4 collar Parsley
  • 4 small salad leaves
  • 250 g Tzatziki
  • baking paper

Directions

    Peel 1 onion and garlic. Cut onion into strips and press garlic through a garlic press. Mix oregano, thyme, paprika, cinnamon, garlic and 4 tablespoons of oil. Wash the meat, dab dry and cut into strips. Marinate meat and onions with prepared spice mixture, chill and let stand for at least 2 hours

    Spread the chips on a baking tray lined with baking paper and prepare according to the instructions on the packet. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan in portions and fry the meat for approx. 5 minutes, turning vigorously. Season with salt. Remove, add tomato paste and aiwar to the pan and mix. Deglaze with stock and cream. Put meat into the sauce and turn it, keep warm

    Wash the parsley, shake dry, pluck the leaves from the stalks and, except for something to garnish, chop. Peel the remaining onion and cut into rings. Wash the lettuce leaves and shake dry. Season finished chips with salt. Arrange gyros and french fries. Arrange tzatziki in salad leaves. Sprinkle with onion rings and parsley and garnish with parsley
