Ingredients

  • 500 g green beans
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2 red onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 600 g Pork escalope
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Gyros spice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1/2 bunch Thyme
  • 350 ml Vegetable broth (instant)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Aiwar (spicy-hot spice paste)
  • 200 g Flatbread
  • 200 g Sheep's cheese

Directions

    Clean and wash the beans and boil them in boiling salted water for 8-10 minutes, drain and quench. In the meantime, cut bread into "pie pieces" and toast them crispy on the toaster.

    Cut the lid off the pepper, remove the core. Wash the paprika and cut into rings. Peel onions and garlic, dice garlic finely, cut onions into rings. Wash the meat, dab dry and cut into strips.

    Heat the oil in a pan. Fry the meat for 3-5 minutes, turning it over and season with gyros and pepper. Remove meat from the pan. Add the bell peppers, beans, onions and garlic to the pan and fry for 3-4 minutes, turning over.

    In the meantime, wash the thyme, dab dry and put something aside for garnishing. Pluck the remaining thyme from the stalks and add to the vegetables in the pan. Deglaze vegetables with stock and aiwar, add meat and bring to the boil.

    Season with salt and pepper. Cut the cheese into cubes. Sprinkle pan with feta cheese and the rest of the thyme. Add toasted flatbread.
