Fried chard with soy sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 piece(s) (approx. 1,5 cm) Ginger
  • 1 Onion
  • 200 g Basmati rice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Sesame
  • 1 (approx. 1.2 kg) Swiss chard
  • 4 discs cooked ham (approx. 40 g each)
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 7-8 TABLESPOONS Soy sauce
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper

Directions

    Peel garlic and ginger and chop finely. Peel and finely chop the onion. Prepare rice in boiling salted water according to package instructions. Roast sesame seeds in a pan without fat, remove.

    Clean and wash the chard and cut it into leaves. Cut the stalks off the leaves, cut into strips. Cut the leaves into coarse strips as well. Pluck the ham into pieces. Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the chard stems for 2-3 minutes, turning them over.

    Add the onion, garlic and ginger and fry for another 1-2 minutes. Add the chard leaves and fry briefly. Fold in rice and ham. Deglaze with soy sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Arrange on plates and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
