French Toast with Mozzarella

Ingredients

Servings: 8
  • 125 g Mozzarella cheese
  • some stem(s) Basil
  • 16 discs (20 g each) thin ciabatta bread
  • 4 half dried tomatoes in oil
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 1/8 l Milk
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Oil

Directions

    Dab mozzarella dry and cut into 8 slices. Wash the basil, shake dry and pluck the leaves. Drain the tomatoes and cut into strips. Cover bread slices with mozzarella, basil and tomatoes.

    Cover with the remaining slices of bread and press on a little. Beat the eggs and milk, season with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a frying pan. Fry the bread in the egg milk until brown on both sides
