Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 750 g White bread
  • 400 g Emmental cheese
  • 300 g Gruyère cheese
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 400 ml dry white wine
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Cornstarch
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS cherry brandy
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated nutmeg
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cornichons and mixed pickles

Directions

    Roughly dice bread. Grate cheese. Peel garlic. Rub garlic into fondue pot. Heat cheese and wine while stirring until the cheese has melted. Stir starch and kirsch until smooth, add while stirring.

    Season with pepper and nutmeg. Place on the chafing dish. Dip bread cubes into the cheese. Add gherkins and mixed pickles as desired.
