Ingredients

Servings: 1
  • 250 g Butter
  • 125 g Icing sugar
  • 350 g Flour
  • 1 Egg yolk (size M)
  • 1 untreated lemon
  • 7-10 Tbsp and Orange
  • 1 Protein
  • 60 g Pistachio kernels
  • 50 g Poppy seed (approx. 5 tablespoons)
  • 50 g Sesame (5 tablespoons)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar
  • 1 package (200 g) dried apricots
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • 7-10 Tbsp wooden skewers

Directions

  1. 1

Cut the fat into cubes. Place the fat, icing sugar, flour and egg yolk in a mixing bowl. Wash lemon and orange with hot water and dab dry. Grate the peel, add to the other ingredients and knead everything with the dough hook of the hand mixer. Mix to a smooth dough with your hands. Cover and chill for about 30 minutes. Roll out thinly in portions on a lightly floured work surface. Cut out stars of different sizes and place them on a floured baking tray. Cut out small animals and trees from the remaining dough. Prick a small hole in the middle of each star. Brush the stars, trees and animals with egg white. Grind the pistachios finely. Sprinkle stars alternately with poppy seeds, pistachios and sesame seeds. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for about 7 minutes. Then prick the hole once more. Let the biscuits cool down. Dust with icing sugar. According to size, alternate with dried apricots on wooden skewers. If necessary, cut the apricots a little smaller. Results in about 5 little trees
