  • 300 g fresh ripe figs
  • 100 g demerara sugar
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Balsamic vinegar
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Mustard powder

Directions

    Preparation. Peel figs and cut into small pieces. Add 4 tablespoons of water and puree. Boil up sugar and vinegar. Add fig puree and let it boil down at low heat for about 10 minutes.

    Mix mustard powder and 4 tablespoons of water and add to the figs. Simmer for another 5 minutes. Pour fig mustard into the prepared glasses, close them and let them cool down. Fig mustard tastes good with cheese, sausage and bread.
