Double saté skewers with peanut sauce

Ingredients

  • 3-4 Tbsp Soybean oil
  • 75 g shelled unsalted peanuts
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 2 TABLESPOONS creamy peanut butter (from the jar)
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 2 TEASPOONS Sambal Oelek
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Soy sauce
  • 300 g Chicken filet
  • 300 g Pork escalope
  • 1 TABLESPOON Sesame (peeled)
  • 1 TABLESPOON black sesame (unpeeled)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Chili sauce
  • 24 wooden skewers

Directions

    Heat a tablespoon of soya oil in a frying pan. Roast the peanuts in it. Remove and chop roughly. Peel onion and garlic. Chop the onion finely.

    Press the garlic through a garlic press. Heat a tablespoon of soya oil. Sauté the onion and garlic until transparent. Add peanut cream and melt while stirring. Add half the peanuts and 200 millilitres of water and stir until a smooth sauce is formed. Season to taste with lemon juice, sambal oelek, cayenne pepper and soy sauce. Wash the meat and dab dry. Cut into 24 thin strips and place on wooden skewers in a wavy pattern. Heat one to two tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and fry the skewers for four to five minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle the skewers with sesame seeds and arrange on a plate.
