Ingredients

  • 3 Apples
  • 250 g Low-fat curd
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp pulp of 1 vanilla pod
  • 1 package Sauce powder "Vanilla flavor
  • 20 g Semolina
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated rind of 1/2 untreated lemon
  • 150 g Flour
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 2 TEASPOONS Baking Powder
  • 2 l Oil
  • 1-2 TEASPOONS Cinnamon
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • 7-10 Tbsp Mint and apple slices

Directions

    Wash apples thoroughly, quarter them, cut out the core and dice them. Put quark, egg, salt, vanillin sugar, vanilla pulp, sauce powder, semolina, lemon peel, 125 g flour, 50 g sugar and baking powder in a bowl and work into a smooth dough with the dough hooks of the hand mixer.

    Dab apples dry and dust with remaining flour. Fold apples into the quark dough. Heat the oil in a wide saucepan. In the meantime, form 10 quark cakes from the dough with well floured hands. Carefully put half of the cakes into the hot frying fat and fry on each side for 4-6 minutes until golden brown.

    In the meantime, mix the remaining sugar and cinnamon well. Carefully remove the cakes with a skimmer and turn them directly into the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Fry the rest of the cakes in the same way. Leave to cool slightly and serve decorated with mint and apple slices as desired.
