Ingredients

  • 1 Onion
  • 400 g Minced beef
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Breadcrumbs
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1.2 kg Gherkins
  • 1 large carrot
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 3/8 l clear broth (instant)
  • 100 g Whipped cream
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS sauce thickener
  • 7-10 Tbsp crushed dried chillies
  • 1 collar Dill

Directions

    Peel and finely chop the onion. Knead minced meat, egg, onion and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper. Form small balls from the minced dough. Peel cucumber and carrot. Halve cucumber, remove seeds and cut into pieces.

    Wash and finely dice the carrot. Heat oil in a pan, fry meatballs in it for 5 minutes, remove. Braise the cucumbers in the frying fat, add the stock and simmer for 10 minutes. Add carrots and meatballs 5 minutes before the end of cooking time.

    Add cream. Stir in sauce thickener and bring to the boil. Season with salt and crushed chillies. Wash the dill and put something aside for garnishing. Chop the rest and fold into the cucumber. Garnish with remaining dill and chillies.
