Melt the butter in a pot and let it cool down lukewarm. Beat egg whites until stiff, add sugar and continue beating for about 5 minutes. Add the grated coconut. Knead butter with your hands.
Form about 50 small balls with your fingers. Place the balls on 2 baking trays lined with baking paper. Bake the trays one after the other in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for about 12 minutes.
Remove and let it cool down.
