Bring 1/2 litre water, a little salt and turmeric to the boil. Add the jasmine rice, bring to the boil, cover and let it swell over a low heat for about 20 minutes. Bring coconut milk and some salt to the boil. Add long grain rice, bring to the boil, cover and leave to swell over low heat for about 20 minutes. Loosen rice with a fork and arrange in bowls. Sprinkle with turmeric or roasted grated coconut or chips as desired
