The classic vinaigrette is the queen of salad dressings because it combines all the flavours. When vinegar, mustard, sugar and oil are harmoniously combined, vinaigrette adds a refined spice to salads.

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1/2 small onion
  • 4 TABLESPOONS White wine vinegar
  • 1/2 TEASPOON medium hot mustard
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Oil

Directions

    Finely chop the onion. Mix vinegar, mustard, salt, pepper, sugar and onion with a whisk until sugar and salt have dissolved.

    Add the oil drop by drop and leave to stand for 10 minutes. Mix vinaigrette with salad or serve with salad.
