Ingredients

  • 1 Decoration set "Christmas muffins"
  • 100 g Butter or margarine
  • 80 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 TEASPOON citro-back (ready grated lemon peel)
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 150 g Flour
  • 1 coated Tsp Baking Powder
  • 60 g Hazelnut brittle
  • 150 g Icing sugar
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 12 Christmas wafers

Directions

    Place 8-10 muffin tins (from the set) on a baking tray or in a muffin tray. Preheat the oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3). Cream fat, sugar, vanillin sugar, salt and citro-back. Stir in eggs one after the other. Mix flour, baking powder and Christmas spices (from the set) and stir in briefly. Fold in chocolate drops (from the set) and brittle (up to 1 tablespoon each). Pour the dough into the moulds and bake for 16-18 minutes.

    Let them cool down. To decorate, mix icing sugar and lemon juice to a thick glaze. Halve the icing and colour one half with green food colouring (from the set). Spread green and white icing on muffins as desired. Decorate with sweets from the set and the rest of the brittle. Decorate with Christmas wafers. (When the icing is dry, cut a small slit in the muffins with a knife and insert the wafers)
