  • 100 g Dark chocolate
  • 1 untreated orange
  • 200 g soft butter
  • 175 g Sugar
  • 2 packages Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 300 g Flour
  • 3 TSP Baking Powder
  • 250 g Icing sugar
  • 1 Protein (size M)
  • 2 TEASPOONS Cocoa powder
  • 7-10 Tbsp golden love beads
  • 7-10 Tbsp red food colouring
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease
  • 1 small freezer bag

Directions

    Finely chop the chocolate. Wash the orange and dab dry. Grate the peel and squeeze the juice. Mix butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and orange peel. Stir in the eggs one by one. Mix flour, baking powder and chocolate.

    Stir the flour mixture and orange juice briefly into the dough. Grease a Santa Claus mould (27 cm high). Fill in the dough and smooth it down. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for about 60 minutes. Take out the cake and let it rest in the pan for 3 minutes. Carefully turn out and let cool down. Mix icing sugar, egg white and 2-3 tablespoons of water. Pour 2 heaped tablespoons into a freezer bag. Cut off a small corner. Colour 2 tablespoons of white icing brown with cocoa powder. If necessary, mix the icing with 1 teaspoon of water. Colour the rest of the icing red with food colouring.

Colour the rest of the icing red with food colouring. First paint Santa Claus red and brown. Decorate the belt buckle with golden pearls. Decorate beard, hair and arm cuffs with the white cast.
