Ingredients

  • 450-500 g Morello cherries
  • 100 g fine, white Kandies (tea sugar)
  • 450-500 ml Vodka (38 % vol.)

    Wash the cherries, drain well and remove the stalks as desired, or cut them in half. Prick the cherries with a fork and place them in a bottle with a not too narrow opening. Add candies and fill up with vodka. Close bottle well (twist off lid or staples) and leave in a cool, dark place for at least 1 month. Shake several times in between. The cherries can be removed after about 1 month and the liqueur can be decanted into a liqueur bottle. The cherries can also be served with the liqueur
