Ingredients

  • 175 ml Milk
  • 30 g fresh yeast
  • 375 g Flour
  • 5 Eggs (size M)
  • 50 g soft butter
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 750 g Sweet cherries
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 500 g Low-fat curd
  • 400 g Double cream cream cheese
  • 1 package Pudding powder "Vanilla Flavor"
  • 40 g flaked almonds
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour

Directions

    Warm up the milk. Dissolve crumbled yeast. Put flour, 1 egg, butter, 50 g sugar and yeast milk in a mixing bowl. Knead with the dough hooks of the hand mixer for 2-3 minutes. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for 30-40 minutes. Wash the cherries, remove the stalks and pit them.

    Place the cherries on kitchen paper. Grease the fat pan of the oven (approx. 35 x 40 cm) and dust with flour. Knead dough briefly and roll out thinly on a floured work surface. Line the fat pan with it. Prick the dough several times with a fork and let it rise covered for 10-15 minutes. In the meantime, whisk 4 eggs, 200 g sugar, vanillin sugar and salt until thick and creamy. Mix quark and cream cheese. Stir in pudding powder. Fold in the sugar and egg mixture. Spread the quark cream evenly on the yeast dough. Sprinkle with cherries. Bake the cake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for 25-30 minutes.
