Cauliflower mince casserole

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 cauliflower (about 1,2 kg)
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, white pepper
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 1 TABLESPOON Oil
  • 600 g minced meat
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Tomato paste
  • 1 package (500 g) chunky tomatoes
  • some stem(s) Basil
  • 1 TEASPOON + 1 tablespoon butter/margarine
  • 200 g Sour cream or
  • 7-10 Tbsp clotted cream
  • 4-5 Tbsp Breadcrumbs

Directions

    Clean and wash the cauliflower and divide it into florets. Cook in boiling salted water for 6-8 minutes. Drain the cauliflower

    Peel and finely dice the onions. Fry in hot oil. Add minced meat and fry until crumbly. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in tomato paste and tomatoes

    Wash the basil and, except for something to garnish, finely

    cut. Mix basil into the mince. Pour the chopped tomato mixture into a large greased casserole dish. Spread the cauliflower on top. Season sour cream with salt and pepper

    Pour the sour cream over the cauliflower. Add breadcrumbs and fat in flakes. Bake in a hot oven (electric cooker: 200 °C / convection oven: 175 °C / gas mark 3) for 25-30 minutes. Garnish with rest of basil
