Clean and peel the carrots and cut them into fine "spaghetti" with a spiral slicer. Sprinkle with sugar and salt and put aside. Clean and wash spring onions and cut into fine rings.
Peel and coarsely chop the garlic. Finely blend garlic, oil, lemon juice, sesame paste, soy sauce and brown sugar with a hand blender.
Mix carrots, onions and dressing. Coarsely chop the nuts. Wash basil, shake dry and pluck leaves from the stalks. Fold the basil leaves and nuts into the carrot.
