Calzone with ham and tomato filling

Ingredients

  • 400 g Flour
  • 1 cube (42 g) Yeast
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 8 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 100 g cooked ham
  • 2 large beef tomatoes
  • 1 package (125 g) Mozzarella cheese
  • 150 g Ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 bunch Thyme
  • 2 Eggs
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper

Directions

    Knead flour, yeast, salt, sugar, 1/2 litre water and 6 tablespoons of oil to a smooth dough. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 15 minutes. Cut the ham into cubes. Clean, wash and cut the tomatoes into small pieces.

    Dice the mozzarella and finely crumble the ricotta. Wash the thyme and remove the leaves from the stems. Mix prepared ingredients and eggs. Season with salt and pepper. Knead dough again.

    Divide into 2 pieces and roll out into a circle (24 cm Ø). Spread half of the filling on each circle, leaving a small edge free. Fold over the dough and press the rim firmly.

    Brush the calzone with oil and place on a greased baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven (electric: 225 ° C/ gas: level 4) for 20-25 minutes. Cut the calzone into triangles and serve.
