Wash lemons and limes in hot water, dab dry well. Peel 5 lemons and 3 limes in thin strips. Boil 200 ml water with sugar. Cook the citrus peel in it for about 10 minutes until soft. Then drain off
Squeeze all citrus fruits. Measure out 700 ml juice, put it into a large pot with jam sugar. Bring everything to the boil while stirring and boil for at least 4 minutes until it is bubbling
Stir in the brandy and citrus peel. Bring to the boil again. Immediately fill jam into prepared twist-off jars and close. Let cool upside down
