  • 250 g soft butter
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 package Vanilla sugar
  • 1 cup(s) (235 g) Sugar
  • 5 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 7-10 Tbsp 2
  • 1 package Baking Powder
  • 1 (100 g) bag of ground almonds (without skin)
  • 1 cup(s) (270 g) Buttermilk
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour
  • 1 cup(s) (250 ml content) as measuring jug
  • 14 Caramel sweets (e.g. "Cream Moo Moo")
  • 7 (approx. 800 g; e.g. Elstar) Apples
  • 4-5 Tbsp Apricot Jam
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar

Directions

    For the dough, mix butter, 1 pinch of salt, vanilla sugar and sugar with the whisks of the mixer until creamy. Stir in the eggs one by one. Mix flour, baking powder and almonds. Stir in with the buttermilk.

    Grease a fat pan (approx. 32 x 39 cm) and dust with flour. Smooth the dough in it.

    For the topping, cut the sweets in half. Wash the apples, cut out the core with an apple cutter. Cut each apple into 4 thick rings. Spread the apple rings close together on the dough. Halve some apple rings for the edge.

    Carefully press the sweets into the apples. Bake the cake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/circulating air: 150 °C/gas: see manufacturer) for approx. 35 minutes.

    Warm up the jam and stir until smooth. Spread apple rings with jam. Dust with icing sugar. Add a dash of crème fraîche.
