Ingredients

  • 1 glass (720 ml) Cherries
  • 600 g Flour
  • 1 1/2 packs Baking Powder
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 500 ml Fruit buttermilk (orange)
  • 1 package (75 g) Chocolate Drops
  • 100 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar
  • 1 package (250 g) Buttermilk quark
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar

Directions

    Drain the cherries. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, vanillin sugar and salt in a mixing bowl. Add eggs and buttermilk and mix with the whisk of the hand mixer to a smooth dough.

    Fold in chocolate drops and cherries. Put the dough on a well greased fat pan of the oven (32x39 cm) and smooth it down. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for about 30 minutes.

    Remove from the oven, place on a grid and immediately pour the cream evenly over the still warm cake. Let the cake cool down and then dust it thinly with icing sugar as desired. Mix quark and milk and serve with the cake.

    Garnish with mint.
