Ingredients

  • 175 g cold butter
  • 1/4 l Milk
  • 450 g Flour
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 package "Fine lemon peel"
  • 1 package (7 g) Dry baker's yeast
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 200 g Almond slivers
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Melt 50 g butter in a small pot. Add milk, remove from heat. In the meantime, mix flour, salt, "fine lemon peel" and dry yeast well in a mixing bowl. Add egg, 75 g sugar and milk-fat mixture. Mix to a smooth dough with the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.

    Spread the dough evenly on a greased baking tray. Cover the dough and let it rise for another 15 minutes. Cut the remaining cold fat into small cubes and press them into the dough at regular intervals. Sprinkle almond slivers and the remaining sugar on top. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 20 minutes. Results in approx. 20 pieces
