Ingredients

Servings: 8
  • 250–300 g Pork sausage
  • 1 TABLESPOON Oil
  • 1 red onion
  • 8 small cherry tomatoes
  • 8 Cornichons
  • 8 discs Raclette cheese
  • 7-10 Tbsp (about 160 g)
  • 8 Thin slices of baguette
  • 8 spreaded tablespoon burger sauce

Directions

    Preparation: Form 8 small, flat meatballs from the mince. Fry in hot oil for about 5 minutes. Take them out, drain and let them cool down.

    Peel onion and cut into rings. Wash the tomatoes. Cut tomatoes and gherkins into slices. Remove the rind from the cheese if necessary and cut into strips.

    At the table: Warm up the meatballs on the hot grill plate or hot stone. Put bread in the pans and roast under the hot grill. Spread some burger sauce on top. Cover with onion, gherkins, tomato, meatball and cheese.

    Drizzle some sauce over it. Gratinate under the hot grill.

    Homemade burger sauce tastes good with it: Mix 250 g mayonnaise and 250 g tomato ketchup. Season to taste with a few dashes of Worcester sauce and dust with some paprika powder.
