Put rice in boiling salted water. Cook over low heat for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile clean, wash, halve or quarter the tomatoes. Wash the basil, remove the leaves. Drain remaining rice liquid. Fold in tomatoes and basil.
Clean and wash the mushrooms for the skewers. Cut sausage into bite-sized pieces. Place on skewers alternately and fry in hot oil, turning for 5-7 minutes. Drip sauce over the skewers. Serve in portions
