Ingredients

  • 1 washer White bread (approx. 30 g)
  • 75 g Raisins
  • 150 g Onions
  • 1 walnut-sized piece of ginger tuber
  • 750 g mixed minced meat
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Apricot Jam
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Wine vinegar
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Mango chutney
  • 1 TABLESPOON Tomato paste
  • 1 TEASPOON Worchester sauce
  • 1 heaped tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 100 g + 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 50 g Parmesan cheese
  • 4 Bananas

Directions

    Soak bread in lukewarm water. Rinse raisins and dab dry. Peel onions and ginger and dice very finely. Mix minced meat, raisins, jam, vinegar, chutney, tomato paste, Worchester sauce and squeezed slice of bread.

    Carefully brown ginger, brown sugar, 2 teaspoons of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper in a pan. Add onions and 100 g butter, fry until translucent. Add minced meat mixture, fry for about 30 minutes. Pour into a casserole dish.

    Whisk eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper and pour over the minced meat. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for about 40 minutes. Grate Parmesan cheese and sprinkle over it.

    Serve with bananas fried in 1 tablespoon butter. Chutney tastes good with it.
