Wash the sardines and pat them dry. Season inside and outside with salt and pepper. Spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and place fat in flakes on top. Peel the garlic as desired, chop it smaller if necessary. Wash and slice the lemon.
Clean and wash the tomatoes and cut them into thick slices. Season with salt and pepper. Spread the prepared ingredients, bay leaves and peppercorns on the tray as well. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 20 minutes. Serve with fresh baguette
