Baked feta cheese with tzatziki

Ingredients

  • 150 g Lean yoghurt
  • 250 g Edible quark (20 % fat)
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, white pepper
  • 4 tomatoes, 1 onion
  • 2 TABLESPOONS vinegar, 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS black olives
  • 1 kg deep-frying fat or 6-8 tablespoons oil
  • 400 g Sheep or feta cheese
  • 1-2 eggs, 2-3 tablespoons flour
  • 6-8 TABLESPOONS Breadcrumbs

Directions

    Stir yoghurt and quark until smooth. Peel the cucumber if necessary. Grate half into the quark. Peel garlic and press it into the quark. Season to taste

    Cut the rest of the cucumber into slices. Clean and wash the tomatoes. Peel onion. Cut both into slices. Mix vinegar, salt and pepper, add olive oil. Mix prepared salad ingredients, olives and marinade

    Heat the fat in a deep fryer to 180 °C (oil in a pan). Roughly dice the feta cheese. Whisk eggs. Turn cheese first in flour, then in egg and finally in breadcrumbs. Bake cheese in the deep fryer for 1-2 minutes (4-5 minutes in the pan) until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper. Arrange everything. Served with: Flatbread
