Bacon rissoles with tomato sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 8
  • 1 Bread rolls from the previous day
  • 2 Onions
  • 500 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 TABLESPOONS pickled green pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 200 g Bacon
  • 20 g Butter or margarine
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 1 package (500 g) chunky tomatoes
  • 7-10 Tbsp a few drops of Tabasco
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 collar Parsley

Directions

    Soak the rolls in warm water. Peel and finely dice 1 onion. Knead minced meat, squeezed out roll, egg and onion. Add peppercorns. Season with salt and pepper. Form 8 oval meatballs from the mixture and wrap each with 3-4 slices of bacon.

    Fry in hot fat for about 8 minutes on each side. In the meantime, for the sauce, peel and chop the remaining onion and sauté in hot oil. Add the chopped tomatoes and let it boil down in an open pot for 10-15 minutes.

    Season the sauce with Tabasco, salt, pepper and sugar. Wash parsley, dab dry and chop. Add to the sauce.
